  • Carl Linnaeus [Linneo] Expedition to Lapland. Carl Linnaeus (23 May 1707 – 10 January 1778), also known after his ennoblement as Carl von Linné. was a Swedish botanist, zoologist, and physician who formalised binomial nomenclature, the modern system of naming organisms. He is known as the "father of modern taxonomy". Many of his writings were in Latin, and his name is rendered in Latin as Carolus Linnæus (Later as Carolus A Linné).   • Wilhelmina Bay is a bay 24 kilometres (15 mi) wide between the Reclus Peninsula and Cape Anna along the west coast of Graham Land on the Antarctic Peninsula. It was discovered by the Belgian Antarctic Expedition of 1897-99 led by Adrien de Gerlache. The bay is named for Wilhelmina, Queen of the Netherlands. The bay is surrounded by steep cliffs full of snow and glaciers.

It was discovered by the Belgian Antarctic Expedition of 1897-99 led by Adrien de Gerlache. The bay is named for Wilhelmina, Queen of the Netherlands. The bay is surrounded by steep cliffs full of snow and glaciers.
